To highlight the brand history of Subaru, not only does the Japanese portion reference Subaru Technica International but also Fuji Heavy Industries and their founding date. As an added detail the beer volume has been replaced with a subtle reference to Subaru's first ever vehicle, the 1500 (aka P-1) which was powered by a 1500cc engine.
